In the ever-evolving world of software development, staying at the forefront is essential. That's why we're thrilled to announce the release of ForgeBox 7.7, a significant update that promises to make your experience even better. This release brings a host of new features and enhancements that will empower developers like never before. Let's dive into what ForgeBox 7.7 has to offer.

We understand the importance of tracking the popularity of your packages. With ForgeBox 7.7, you can now visualize the last year's download trends with a brand new line chart on the main package page. This feature offers valuable insights, helping you understand how your packages are performing over time.

Version-Specific Weekly Downloads

Not only can you track yearly trends, but we've also made it easier to dive deeper into your package's performance. Select a specific version, and the line graph will automatically switch to display weekly downloads for that version. This granular data helps you identify trends and patterns on a more detailed level.

Personalized Package Insights

For registered users, ForgeBox now offers a personalized touch. When you view a package you've previously installed, you'll see a message that says, "You've installed this package XX times." It's a small feature but adds a sense of ownership to your ForgeBox experience.

Total Installs for Each Version

Package version management is now easier with the addition of total installs for each version. Quickly identify the most popular and stable versions to make informed decisions about which versions to use in your projects.

Advanced Version Searching

Searching for versions has never been this precise. ForgeBox 7.7 introduces an improved entry versions search that allows semantic version values. Take advantage of the semantic version capabilities and search by version ranges and comparators such as <, <=, >, >=. In the following example, we are searching for versions greater than or equal to 5.

Bug Fixes and UI Enhancements

In our effort to keep our site free of bugs, we have fixed a few issues and improved the UI experience, specifically for the package and the package version view to denote the difference when viewing the current version or a specific version of the package.
